Eligibility and Preferences

We’d love to fund humanist students from nations we’ve never worked in or have only rarely worked in - this includes Botswana, Madagascar, Angola, Rwanda, Congo, Gabon, Central African Republic, Algeria, Libya, Egypt, Ethiopia and Eritrea.

We’re happy to fund students from every African nation but we’re less inclined to support Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, and South Africa.

Our goal is to give half of our grants will go to women.

Grant are given every 1-2 months.

Students need to prove they are humanists by indicating their alignment in a humanist, freethinker or atheist group.
